For the pastry cream filling:

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 large egg yolks

¼ cup cornstarch

½ cup granulated sugar

2 cups whole milk

For the chocolate ganache:

4 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

½ cup heavy cream

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the butter, water, and salt. Cook over the medium heat until the butter melts and the mixture begins to boil.

Reduce the heat to low and add the flour all at once, stirring vigorously with a wooden spoon until the mixture forms a ball. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
